House Rules

"""We aim to make your stay as pleasant and convenient as possible but we fully expect all our guests to follow the following rules: - Quiet hours from 9pm - 9am. - Please be mindful and courteous of our all neighbors. - We reserve the right to ask any guest for identification. - Unless explicitly stated, if your unit has street parking it is always on a first come, first served basis. - All our rooms are non-smoking, if the cleaning crew determines that the guests smoked in the room there will be a fee of $150. - Bugs and Critters: please note that we routinely spray our property for bugs and critters. Howerver if you do come across any little critters please keep in mind that Florida is a Subtropical Climate. To help prevent this keep all windows and doors closed at all times. - We perform regular maintenance in all our properties, rarely do we require access to the rooms but there are times at which we do (ie pest control, ac maintenance, etc); in those cases we would let you know ahead of time. - Late checkouts will have a fee of $200. A late checkout is when any of the guests stays past the check out time. - Lost keys will have a $50 replacement fee."

Other Details to Note

📍 Central Location: Little Havana puts you at the center of it all — a 10-minute drive from just about anywhere in Miami, with public transportation, plenty of Ubers, and easy, free street parking. 🎭 Calle Ocho (2 blocks north): Walk to 8th Street for local restaurants, bars, and cabarets, a gorgeous Art Deco movie theater showing foreign and independent films, souvenir shops, fruit stands, art galleries, and live music venues — including the historic Ball and Chain. ⚾ Marlins Park: Just a $5 Uber ride away. I highly recommend catching a game if you have the time — even for non-baseball fans, it's a great experience. 🌴 Coconut Grove (head east): Nice restaurants, local bars and shops, paddle-boarding, kayaking, biking, and historic spots like Vizcaya and The Barnacle. 🛍️ Coral Gables (head west): Miracle Mile for shopping and dining, happy hour with the local crowd at Hillstone or Bulla, a dip at the Venetian Pool, or brunch at the Biltmore. 🏙️ Brickell & Downtown: Hop on the free trolley or the metro bus to reach lounges, restaurants, museums, Bayside, the Kaseya Center, the Opera House, and lots more. ❄️ Air Conditioning: The home has central air that runs on a set schedule to keep things comfortable throughout the day. 🐜 Florida Critters: Thanks to the warm Miami weather, the occasional critter may find its way inside, even though we spray regularly to keep them at bay. ✈️ Occasional Flyovers: Depending on the wind, you may notice airplanes passing over the property from time to time. 🔧 Upkeep & Maintenance: We work hard to keep the property in top shape, so occasional maintenance may be needed. We always do our best to keep any noise to a minimum. 👋 Your Host: I'm always available if you have any questions on what to do. Book now to experience authentic Miami living, right in the heart of it all.

Accessibility and Availability

Neighborhood

Shenandoah is a residential neighborhood nestled between Little Havana and Coral Gables. It has the best of both worlds; the rich Mediterranean architecture, foliage and history of Coral Gables combined with the location, night live, liveliness and culture of Little Havana. You have everything that makes Miami Miami, from Versailles restaurant to to the multi million dollar Marlins Park, world renown art galleries to Los Pinarenos Fruteria. It is rapidly gentrifying but it is still hanging on to the culture of those that made an extension of Cuba in the States plus all the ones that built on it after.

Guest Access

The house has an electronic lock in the front door, once your reservation is confirmed I will send you instructions that include the combination to the front door and the key to your room.

From Miami International Airport: Uber: The best option is to get an Uber, it is a 15 minute ride from the airport and it will cost less than $10. Bus: You can take bus #42 and transfer to bus #8 at SW 42nd Avenue and SW 8th Street. Bus #8 goes down SW 8th Street and you can get off 17th Avenue and walk 3 blocks. Total cost should be around $2/person. Rental Car: Renting a car is a great option if you want to explore all Miami has to offer. You can pick the car up at the airport (all major brands have offices in the Airport hub) and there is free street parking in the house. Free Trolley: The best way to move inside Little Havana is to use the Trolley, is completely free and it runs every 20 minutes from 6:30 am to 11:00 pm. You can get all the way to Brickell where you can also connect to all public transportation including the MetroRail and MetroMover (also free). No need to buy the Hop-On, Hop-Off bus pass. Bike: Little Havana, Coral Gables, Coconut Grove and even Key Biscayne (for the adventurous) are all very nice to ride in bike. Biking is a great way to see what Miami has to offer.
